Staff Training:How to Register On-Line

Exciting news! The Summer Staff Development catalog and Summer Registration is now on-line. No more filling out sheets and sending them through intercampus mail to Instructional Services. Follow the steps below.

1. Go to the internet via Netscape or Explorer. Type in this address (or click on the link below):

http://training.leanderisd.org
2. Set a bookmark for yourself for easy access later.
3. To log in, enter your last name (capitalize ONLY the 1^st letter) then tab over to User ID *: and enter, in lower case, the first 4 letters of your last name and the last 4 digits of SSN (without any dashes or spaces). Example: smit3299. Click "enter" and you are in your portfolio.
4. To view the Class Catalog click on "Class Catalog" at the top of the screen.
5. Click search if you want to see all classes offered. However, if you want to refine your search, enter keywords, categories or dates. Click on the search button and all the courses that meet the parameters will show up.
6. Click on each course to read the details.
7. Once you have decided on a class you want to enroll in, click on the "Register" button (lower left). If the class is full, you will be put on a waiting list or you may wish to look for the same class offered at another date/time.

Option 1
If you prefer to look at the Course Catalog as a printed version, click on "Print" and scroll to a course you are interested in viewing.

Option 2
There is also a calendar option to view the classes in date order. Click on the "Catalog Calendar" button. Click on the green arrow in the upper right corner to go from month to month. The class details are easily viewed by clicking on each class.

To Log out:
Go to "Student Tools". Then, go to "Exit". (Please log out after each use.)

To withdraw from a class
Go to "My Portfolio". The classes you enrolled in are listed. Next to the heading "Status", there is a green "X". To withdraw from the class, click on the green "X".
 

Important:  Check your Email address Before leaving for the summer, go under Student Tools and select "Modify Student Info" to change your current email address to one you use over the summer.   The eLMS (electronic Learning Management System) automatically emails a confirmation of your enrollment and a reminder 5 days prior to the class. Remember that you can access you LISD email from home if you have internet access.  If needed, see your local tech support for help accessing email from home.
